0137
This prefix appears whenever there are consumer surveys and enables a mass calling service where many thousands of calls can be processed simultaneously. Today, many TV stations use 0137 service numbers to make their programmes more interactive. Charges are in the moderate range, but at the same time can amount to up to one Euro. |
0180
The 0180 prefix denotes so-called shared cost services. This is how the telecommunications industry describes a service for which (at least formally) the provider of a piece of information and the caller share the costs for the telecommunications service when the query is made. The third associated party is the telecommunications provider, who provides the technology and the personnel (audiotex and call centre) for the queries and proportionately bills the use of the service to the provider and the user, respectively. |
0800
The 0800 prefix is also known under the synonym “free call”. In this case, the call recipient assumes the costs so that no further charges are incurred by the caller. |
0900
The 0900 prefix indicates a so-called “Premium rate” service. Prefix 0900 is the successor of 0910 service numbers, which were in common use until the end of 2005. Generally, these are service provisions that are defined in more detail by means of service codes: 0900-1 for information services 0900-3 for entertainment services 0900-5 for other services (e.g. dating hotlines) 0900-9 for diallers Costs for 0900 numbers are limited to a maximum of two Euro per minute. For short queries, costs may be a maximum of 30 Euro per dial-up (block rate). |
