With over 34 million customers, around ten billion euros in revenues and some 15,000 employees, Vodafone Germany is one of the largest and most advanced telecommunications providers in Europe. As an innovative technology and service company, Vodafone Germany provides a one-stop service for mobile communications: mobile and fixed network telephony, as well as fast data services for business and private customers.
Vodafone reaches around 3.8 million active users per month with its mobile portal Vodafone live! and generates over 400 million page views. In September 2006, ads could be placed for the first time since the launch of Vodafone live! All advertising products are technically implemented in cooperation with arvato mobile. In the process, arvato mobile is responsible for part of the creation, delivery and the tracking/reporting of the campaigns supplied by the advertisers. The mobile portal is marketed via Gruner + Jahr EMS. In fact, shortly after the start of the cooperation, Adam Opel AG launched the first product and image campaigns at product level and for the purposes of image promotion. These were followed by VW, Nestlé, Motorola, 20th Century Fox campaigns and many others …

A comprehensive range of marketing activities that were planned for the movie “Meet the Spartans” have also been transferred to the mobile internet through the Mobile AdServer ad flex. After clicking on an advertising banner, the user lands on a micro-site which contains topic-based information about the film, a trailer, wallpaper and even a chance to enter a competition.
