arvato mobile has developed a music download service for the internet portal Web.de. The “Web.de Musik” service is designed to broaden the portal’s entertainment offering.
“Web.de Musik” is the first Web shop on the German internet to supply all titles in 192 kBit/s quality in the WMA format. The offering is launched with more than 1.5 million titles. Users can view the offers from all major labels such as Sony BMG, Warner Music, Universal Music and EMI and download both individual tracks and entire albums. Songs can be purchased from 79 euro cent, albums from 7.95 euro. There is the choice of using either the “Web.Cent” service or “Click&Buy” from Firstgate for the payment process.
The music downlad service is characterised primarily by simple user guidance, contemporary design, maximum download quality, and topicality and dynamism.
Web.de is the second-biggest German internet portal and has, according to information provided by the company, more than 11 million users every month.
