No matter where customers are at the time and what terminal they are using the service with, with our Music Shop customers have access in all places and at all times to a music offering of more than 1.5 million tracks from all leading major and independent labels. From folksongs to punk, from techno to blues and from country to hip hop – every search query leads to the desired result. All titles and albums are presented with their respective covers (artwork) and supplied in the terminal-specific format.
Our Music Shop solutions can be reached via PC (Web, PC Client) and mobile telephone (WAP, J2ME, Flash Lite) terminals. At the same time it makes absolutely no difference what channel customers use to buy the music, their purchased music is provided to them for download on the other terminal applying in each case. Thus, for example, customers can order their favourite track on their mobile and then download it onto their PC, to use it there. This is made possible by our dual delivery solution, which guarantees that music is delivered in the optimum terminal-specific format and at the same time guarantees conditions in compliance with copyright law by using Windows Media DRM (PC) and OMA DRM 1.0 (mobile).
Depending on the music label’s specifications in terms of licensing rights and our partners’ requirements, we also offer DRM free music in MP3 format in our Shops.
As a measure to promote sales and a tool to generate customer loyalty, our Shops have numerous features such as, for example, recommendation of suitable titles and pieces of music based on the purchasing and listening behaviour of other Music Shop users or the sending of newsletters, which communicate current offers and news to customers.
